Homme Plissé Issey Miyake
Black pleated blazer translating the conventions of traditional tailoring through Issey Miyake’s signature pleating technology. A familiar single-breasted jacket is reduced to its essential elements — notched lapels, two-button closure and welt pockets — then reconstructed entirely through the lightweight, permanently pleated textile synonymous with Homme Plissé.
The uninterrupted vertical pleats give the jacket structure without conventional rigidity, allowing the fabric to expand, contract and move naturally with the wearer. Finished entirely in black, the sculptural surface becomes the defining detail, shifting subtly between matte and dimensional depending on light and movement.
