Hailing from Japan’s denim capital of Kurashiki in the Kojima district, the Hirata family has carved out a name for itself in the world of streetwear and fashion with their marriage of impeccable craftsmanship and innovative textile treatment techniques. Each season, the father-son duo release extensive lookbooks featuring endless styles and looks, while releasing some of the most unique and coveted items in clothing. Inspired by Japanese formal dress, the Kamakura Parka is a staggering clash of between avant garde and utilitarianism. The garment is ornately sewn and can be worn a multitude of ways. Additionally, it accompanies a storage pouch is stitched on the back where the parka can be folded and packed for storage.
