constructed in an off-white nylon with a lightly padded body, the bag has an intentionally softened rectangular shape that develops creases and volume rather than holding a rigid silhouette. two separate handle systems allow it to be carried by hand or over the shoulder, both finished with the same gathered, padded construction as the body.

the exterior is left almost completely unbranded, allowing proportion, texture and construction to define the piece.

KASSL does a good job of making very simple objects feel slightly unfamiliar through proportion alone. there is almost no conventional decoration here — just a rectangular tote made softer, thicker and more exaggerated than it needs to be.
