Artisanal Reconstructed Military Vest

AW 2001

Margiela's (0) or (010) lines denote his Artisanal women's and menswear, respectively. The artisanal line features a team Margiela himself worked with at the atelier level; they would travel the world to find vintage fabrics to create limited-quantity collections whilst soaring no detail. Every piece was hand made and features small variations amongst each other due to the unique creative/manufacturing process.

This vest was made with deconstructed military cargo pants and jackets as the pockets are lined with different fabrics and materials. The main right chest pocket is lined with waterskin, which is a material usually used to hold water. Each of the vest's pockets retains characteristics that resemble the fabrics' origin.
